Keith Murfee-DeConcini is a passionate disability advocate who was born with mild Cerebral Palsy which propelled him into disability advocacy at a young age. He served on the Commission on Disability Issues of Tucson from 2012 to 2018 as both vice chair, in 2013, chair in 2015 and vice chair again in 2017. He holds a MA in Public Administration (’15) from University of Arizona (UA) and a MA in Disability Studies (’19) from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Professional Studies. He was previously a Fellow of Arizona LEND, Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental & Related Disabilities (’16-17). Keith is an actor, working virtually with Theater Breaking Through Barriers. Currently on the board of Handi-Dogs and Disability Rights Arizona. He is the host of Disability Empowerment Now (DEN), a podcast about disability empowerment and advocacy.
