Rose Daly-Rooney is DRAZ’’s Legal Director, supervising the legal teams and the direction of our legal work. Before becoming a lawyer, Rose worked at a group home serving children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Rose has been a disability rights lawyer for 30 years since graduating from the University of Arizona College of Law. Rose has represented hundreds of clients gain better access, save their jobs with reasonable accommodations, obtain stable housing through reasonable accommodations and gain eligibility to medically necessary healthcare services. Before joining DRAZ, Rose worked for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office in the Civil Rights Division for nine years where she enforced civil rights protections in employment, housing, and public accommodations for people in protected classes. Rose has taught Disability Law at the James E. Rogers UofA College of Law and later, at the Sandra Day O’Connor ASU College of Law and continues to guest lecture. She is a frequent speaker at State Bar of Arizona continuing legal education events related to Disability Law.
