Tawanya Boards joined DRAZ in August 2019. Her work focuses advocating for people with mental illness. She also investigates cases of abuse and neglect. Tawanya previously worked with the State of Arizona as a support coordinator and assistant supervisor with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (adults) and as an investigator with Adult Protective service. She has a Bachelor’s in Political Science (ASU) and a Master’s in Criminal Justice (GCU). In her free time Tawanya loves spending time with her family and reading.
