ANNOUNCEMENT: Disability Rights Arizona (DRAZ) is currently seeking an undergraduate Voting and Policy Intern (VPI) to join our team.

About Us:

Disability Rights Arizona (DRAZ) is the protection and advocacy agency for Arizonans with disabilities. DRAZ is a not-for-profit public interest law firm, dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals with a wide range of physical, mental, psychiatric, sensory and cognitive disabilities.

POSITION DESCRTIPTION:

The Voting and Policy Intern (VPI) will work closely with our Director of Operations and Voting and Policy Contractor to support voter education and engagement that help ensure that Arizonans with disabilities have full access to the electoral process, and the opportunity to cast a private and independent vote.

The VPI will be involved in a range of activities including developing training and educational materials, conducting in person and virtual outreach activities on issues relating to voting and voting access. The VPI will partner with both internal and external stakeholders including nonprofit and government organizations. Ideally, the VPI will contribute between 12-24 hours weekly to this unpaid opportunity. DRAZ operates on a remote hybrid schedule, and work will be performed at the Phoenix or Tucson offices, remotely and at events.
