The Arizona Department of Education, Exceptional Student Services (ADE/ESS) has drafted new dispute resolution procedures and is seeking public comment.
There are new procedures proposed for state complaints, mediation, and due process. ADE has also proposed a new version of the state complaint form. Below are links to existing versions of these documents and the new proposed versions on which comments are sought. ADE/ESS did not release red-lined versions of the documents.

Disability Rights Arizona has submitted comments with our questions and concerns about these changes, and encourages parents, students, and other Arizona stakeholders to do the same.
The public comment period closes on July 27th, so please submit your comments ASAP.
