Rebecca Sobie is a Senior Staff Attorney with Disability Rights Arizona, working on the civil rights and education teams. She is also a member of the National Disability Rights Network’s Training & Networking working group. Rebecca has been a practicing attorney since 1995. Prior to joining DRAZ in February 2022, Rebecca handled nationwide systemic and class action litigation at Disability Rights Advocates in New York. She previously worked with private firms, and served as a Research Attorney for the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles (the largest volume state trial court system in the nation).
She received undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Southern California, a Juris Doctorate degree from Pace University School of Law (now the Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University), studied international law for a semester at University College London, and was a visiting student at the University of San Diego School of Law, where she participated in the Immigration Law Clinic. Rebecca is passionate about advancing disability justice, and enjoys spending time outdoors in sunny Arizona!
