Rebecca Sobie is a passionate disability rights attorney who is dedicated to supporting equal rights from coast to coast. With expertise spanning a legal career of three decades, she joined Disability Rights Arizona in 2022 as a Senior Staff Attorney, working on the civil rights and education teams. She is also a member of the National Disability Rights Network’s Training & Networking working group. Rebecca comes to DRAZ from Disability Rights Advocates in New York, where she handled nationwide systemic and class action litigation.
With a background in workers’ rights and civil litigation, Rebecca previously worked with private law firms in California, New York, and Texas, and served as a Research Attorney for the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. She received undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Southern California, a Juris Doctorate degree from Pace University School of Law, studied international law for a semester at University College London, and was a visiting student at the University of San Diego School of Law, where she participated in the Immigration Law Clinic. Rebecca is passionate about advancing disability justice and enjoys spending time outdoors in sunny Arizona!
