Facilitated IEP Meeting

Education

Parents who believe that the school is not considering their input or working with them to develop their child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) may request a Facilitated IEP through the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). A Facilitated IEP meeting is free. ADE contracts with individuals who are trained to facilitate IEP meetings. The facilitator helps the team develop an IEP that provides a free appropriate public education (FAPE) to the student. ADE trains the facilitators.
