OCR Complaint

You may file a complaint with the United States Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR) if you believe the school has discriminated against your child on the basis of her/his disability or has retaliated against you for advocating on behalf of your child with a disability.

Note that you are not required to use the OCR Discrimination Complaint Form, but if you do not you should be sure to include in your complaint the same information that is requested on the form. OCR complaints must be filed within one hundred and eighty (180) days of the alleged violation.
